Dreamweaver 8 Tutorial: Setting Table Colors
One of the properties that can be set in Dreamweaver's table properties is the background color. Any table or table element (rows, columns, and cells) can be set to have a colored background. You can also choose to use a background image in each table element.
Dreamweaver 8 Tutorial: Setting the Background Color of a Table or Table Element
Select the table in the Document window, and then from the Properties Inspector click in the Background Color color chip to see the color palette. From the color palette, select a color chip to apply to the table background. Dreamweaver automatically adds the six digit hexadecimal code to the <table> tag.

Setting the background color for a table, row, column, or individual cell is done the same way. Select the table element in the Document window and then choose Background color from the Properties Inspector. Remember the Table Formatting Precedence rules when setting background colors.
In the diagram above, the #000066 is the six-digit hexadecimal code for the blue color that has been applied to the row in the table.
Tips on Choosing Table Colors - The color palette in Dreamweaver displays the 216 Web safe colors. If the color you want to use isn't shown, you can create a custom color by clicking on the small round color selector on the System Color Palette.
The custom Color Dialog Box will appear from which you can select a color from a large range of possibilities. If you are trying to match another color and you know the RGB or Hexadecimal value, you can enter it in the boxes in the lower right corner to exactly match another color.

Whenever you change the properties of a table or table element, Dreamweaver automatically modified the HTML code to reflect the changes.
