This Dreamweaver tutorial will show you how to open and save web pages.
To open an existing file that belongs to a site you've defined in Dreamweaver, select the site in the Files panel and double-click the file icon.
You can find files that you've recently worked on by by clicking File, Open Recent. Click on your file in the list and it will open in Dreamweaver.

To open an existing file that is not a part of a Dreamweaver site, choose File, Open, and choose the file from the File Open dialog box.

You can work on as many Dreamweaver files as your system memory can handle. When you choose File, or use the keyboard shortcut, Ctrl + N and select a file type from the New Document dialog box. Dreamweaver opens a new blank file in the Document Window.

When you open a new file, Dreamweaver temporarily names it Untitled-1 or -n where n is the next number in the sequence. This prevents you from accidentally overwriting a new file opened in the same session.

Just like with any other software application, saving your work in Dreamweaver is a very important task. To initially save the current file. choose File, Save or use the keyboard shortcut, Ctrl + S. The Save dialog box opens where you can enter a filename and a different path if necessary.
