The Generate Menu provides commands for generating forms of audio or silence. If no tracks are present in the project, then commands in the Generate Menu will create one. For existing trakces, the current is used.
If a track is selected and the cursor is placed in a specific place in the track, the generated audio or silence is inserted at the cursor position. By default, the duration of the audio is 30 seconds.
Inserting Silence - Inserts silence into the selected track at the location of the cusor, or if a portion of the audio track is selected, the inserted silence will replace the selected area.
Inserting Tone- This command will create either a Sine wave, Square wave, or Sawtooth wave.
White Noise - Should you need to create static, choosing this command will insert randome audio samples which sound like static.
